Brett Clarke is a passionate and highly experienced Australian fly angler, fly-tyer and retailer based on the NSW Central Coast. With decades of on-water experience, his journey began in his youth fishing the Mid-North Coast before evolving into a lifelong dedication to fly fishing and fly tying—sparked, fittingly, by a homemade vice his father built for him.
Over more than 30 years Brett has refined his craft, developing custom fly patterns specifically designed for Australian freshwater natives and estuary species.
As the founder of BWCflies in Tuggerah, Brett combines practical fishing knowledge with hands-on retail expertise, helping anglers select the right flies, materials and techniques for local conditions. He is widely respected for his willingness to share knowledge through tying nights, workshops and online tutorials, and for his practical, no-nonsense approach to adapting tactics on the water.
