TJF Peeping Caddis

The Peeping Caddis is an effective and versatile nymph that Tom Jarman always carries with him on rivers. It is a very natural and buggy caddis pattern with a subtle hot spot. It fishes best in clear water and is exceptional on rivers with good numbers of caddis present. It is a go-to fly when nymphing in the evening before or during caddis hatches. The subtle copper bead and very natural chartreuse tag make this fly a great option when fishing on pressured waters or after other anglers.

More fly information...

Tom likes fishing this nymph below a dry fly, or when euro nymphing in faster water. This nymph pattern is tied on a barbless jig hook for superior penetration on hook sets. With two sizes of tungsten bead, you can adjust your weight to suit the depth and pace of water you are fishing. We recommend fishing 5x, 6x or 7x tippet to help the nymph sink to depth quickly and to improve the quality of the drift.
