Orange Bead Pheasant Tail Nymph

The Orange Bead Pheasant Tail Nymph takes the natural body and profile of the pheasant tail nymph and combines it with a fluorescent orange bead to attract fish. It fishes well on rivers early and late in the season or when the water is discoloured. It is also a very effective nymph on lakes year-round when fished in larger sizes.

More fly information...

On rivers, this nymph fishes well when suspended beneath a dry fly or indicator and can also be fished on a euro nymphing set-up.
We recommend fishing this fly on 5x, 6x or 7x tippet to improve the sink rate and improve the quality of the drift.
On lakes, this fly can be fished on a floating line and retrieved on its own or as part of a team of nymphs. It also fishes well static beneath a dry fly or indicator.
This fly is tied on a barbless nymph hook.
