TJF Cream Split Wing
The Split Wing mayfly is a popular modern dry fly pattern in Europe. The cream colour has proved Tom Jarman’s most productive dry fly in Australia for many years. The fly sits high in the water and is highly visible due to the CDC wing, which is tied so it sits up off the body and features a hi-vis sighter. The fly fishes well all season long and manages to pull fish to it when fish aren’t rising.

The Split Wing is extremely versatile, fishing well as a single dry fly and with a nymph suspended beneath it. It will comfortably hold up to a 2.8mm tungsten beaded nymph.
We recommend fishing this fly on 6X tippet or lighter to reduce drag and improve the quality of the drift.
The fly is tied on a barbless dry fly hook.
