TJF CDC Caddis

A CDC Caddis is one of Tom Jarman’s favourite dry flies when searching up a river. The CDC wing creates the profile of a caddis on the water and floats extremely well. It is also very easy to cast as there is minimal resistance as the fly travels through the air, this allows you to present the fly with pinpoint accuracy. Tom has added a hi-vis sighter to the wing making it easier than ever to see your fly in all lights.

More fly information...

This CDC Caddis fishes best in medium to fast-paced riffles and runs. It fishes well as a single dry or fished nymph below dry. It will comfortably support tungsten-beaded nymphs up to 2.5mm. This pattern is tied on a barbless dry fly hook. The fine point and gauge improve penetration on hook sets. We recommend fishing 5x, 6x or 7x tippets to improve the quality of the drift.
