More fly information...
The Rockerka fly performs best in the warmer months when large food items are present such as grasshoppers, caddis, stonefly and more. This fly is tied out of CDC making it ultra buoyant and the perfect dry fly to support a range of weighted nymphs. The Rockerka combines the robustness of a stimulator-style pattern with the subtle movement and natural footprint of CDC.
The name Rockerka loosely translates to rock chick — a playful nod to the fly’s wild, unruly CDC profile, reminiscent of a rock star’s hair. That distinctive, slightly chaotic look isn’t just cosmetic; it’s what gives the fly its incredible realism and surface presence.
