Snowflake Caddis

The Snowflake Caddis is a perennial presence on Australian rivers as the weather warms, and these insects form light dancing clouds on the rivers’ edges, especially when overhanging tea tree bushes provide welcome shelter for the flying adults.
Tied in proportions and tones to match the natural, the fly floats exceptionally well for its size with its CDC wing.

More fly information...

Lay a Snowflake Caddis out to sipping trout, focused on naturals above, on a quiet run or glassy pool, and the fish will be hard-pressed to reject it.
Ensure you regularly blow dry the fly and treat it with desiccant for optimum floatation and a natural drift.
Tied on a sharp barbless hook that will ensure a good hook set. We recommend fishing 6x or 7x tippets to improve the quality of the drift.
