Parachute Adams
The Parachute Adams is one of the most popular and universal parachute mayfly patterns. The grey body suits the colour of many of our river mayfly and white post makes this fly easy to see in all water types. In smaller sizes, this fly is very effective when fishing for fussy trout and in larger sizes, it is a great searching pattern.

The Parachute Adams can be fished as a single dry or with a nymph suspended beneath it. Smaller sizes are best fished in slow to medium-paced water later in the season. Larger sizes can be fished in all water types as an imitative or searching pattern. This pattern is tied on a barbless dry fly hook. We recommend fishing 5x, 6x or 7x tippets to improve the quality of the drift.
