The Black Mayfly Spinner dry fly can be fished on rivers and lakes. The fly is tied deliberately sparse because adult mayfly have a fine, slim profile. This pattern is tied on a barbless dry fly hook. The fine point and gauge improve penetration on hook sets. We recommend fishing 5x, 6x or 7x tippets to improve the quality of the drift.
