One of the lightest wading systems you'll find

Orvis Ultralight Waders are part of a system that includes Ultralight Wading Boots, Ultralight Wading Jacket and the Ultralight Vest. Not only are they more comfortable, they are also built for durability by utilising the latest in lightweight, durable fabrics and construction techniques. The waders, boots and jacket weigh a total of 2.75 kg, making those remote flights with weight restriction a breeze.
The waders feature a low-profile lock-stitch construction with an added layer of special seam reinforcement tape on the inside of the seam in addition to the waterproof tape. This greatly increases the seam strength in these high-stress areas.
The fit of each size has been improved on previous models. Fabric has been reduced in certain areas to reduce abrasion and cut down water resistance when wading. The gravel cuffs have also been changed from stitch-on separated material to a continuous self-fabric gravel guard. This eliminates a seam, allowing the waders to drain more easily and making them slimmer to reduce resistance when wading.
The neoprene feet have updated sizing and fit. They slide into wading boots more easily and are less likely to bunch up under foot. They also feature 4 mm neoprene around the entire foot, not just the base.
The method for converting the chest waders to waist waders has taken a huge leap forward. Instead of fumbling with plastic clips, they have been replaced with Fidlock Snap magnetic fasteners. The waders can be instantly lowered with one-hand operation and easily click back into chest waders when you reach deeper water. This is ideal for summer fishing or launching boats.
Orvis Ultralights have a superior pocket configuration that allows anglers to carry more gear without adding bulk. Features include a tool dock with an integrated fly patch, a highly water-resistant outer pocket and an inner power mesh pocket that expands to hold bigger items. Both pockets can carry a full-size fly box.
If you’re in the market to upgrade your waders, make sure to visit your local Orvis dealer and consider this ultralight option.
