Getting itchy for a fish as I can’t get back for my annual vic trips… thought I might try a day trip to the collie river?? Anyone had any luck?? I’ve heard great reports previously about it!

    Hi Lachlan

The Collie is running low at the moment. It can fish well all year round. It is a tailrace and has a cold flow in all seasons.

The section between Wellington dam and Burekup weir is the most productive section for trout. There are browns and rainbows stocked in there. Below Burekup can be hit and miss as it relies on fish that have gone through the overflow.

Wellington Dam and above to the source is redfin water. with the occasional redfin below the dam.
