“Vic Fisheries are stocking some creeks in the NE and have done for quite a few years.

I know of one creek that has received every year trout and Macquarie Perch for at least 20 years.”

(shifted to here as not to hijack other thread)

I know VFA stock some SW rivers (limited to zero spawning opportunities) and the Bushfire recovery stockings (of dubious value IMHO) but cannot understand why any creek, stream or river with natural recruitment available would be stocked.

    mitch aka 2 fish

perhaps easier to prove success and receive more funding?

unless you were to clip them you’d have a hard time telling a stockie from a wild after a season…?

I don’t understand why vic does half the shit it does to be honest with you.
