Longer days and a bit of warmth sneaking in and the early duns have started appearing here in the NE.

Not enough for the fish to notice, but enough to get me thinking of the possibility of  dry fly fishing over the next couple of weeks.

The tribs are starting to clear but still high and hammering, but with water temp slowly creeping up the tailwaters are looking prime (until the next big rain).

This next one is the “fish eye” view of the clipped hackle “General”, the clipped badger hackle gives it a defined body profile with a halo around it. Many boxes ticked.

Good grief… you are an ongoing inspiration Mic Mac.

We should get a MicMac Greatest hits  thread going, it would save me a lot of bother scrolling through this lot.

They all need extensive field testing down here for sure…  Cheers…Jimmy

Thanks Jimmy. I aim to entertain, primarily myself but if others get something out of it, then that’s a bonus. Hoping to field test in coming weeks as Spring truly takes hold, saw my first red bellied black yesterday so I’ll take that as a sign that things are warming up.
