<p style=”text-align: left;”>Spent the last week fishing with my old mates Dave and Fergus. We were targeting Saratoga and my favourite fly for them is the black rabbit fly tied on a 1/0 Stinger hook by Gamakatsu. My first fish landed was hooked on Freddie’s Fly a big robust fish .

Missed three more Saratoga but Freddie’s fly also catches Bass. A versatile fly.</p>

The next morning I caught a 56 cm Saratoga  on the Black Rabbit.

Borumba Dam is an excellent fishery and has numerous fishing locations around the Dam. Local knowledge built on experience the way to go so, get out there and try your luck, the rewards are certainly worth it. Hoop Pine  Rain forest around the mountains  with Bell Birds singing -magic.

Certainly a  place to put on your list.

Well done Jeff. I might give Borumba  ago next time I am up that way. I think there was an article on Borumba in FlyLife sometime over the last few years??
