TwigmanParticipantHi All,
Heading over to the States in August/September, stopping over in Hawaii on both legs of the journey.
I am after any recommendations for guides for fly fishing in Yosemite National Park late August and for Bonefishing in Hawaii on the trip back home.
Thanks in Advance.
Adam.

dynaflowParticipantI can’t assist with any recommendation for the Yosemite N.P.,but Honolulu has big Bonefish out near the airport and “Nervous Water” and “Hawaii on the Fly” have been guiding here for a while. You will need to be relatively experienced to have any measure of success in this water….
Good luck!

AndrewaParticipantI fished with Nervous Waters in Hawaii ?4 years ago. Good, but basic trip. There are plenty of bonefish on the flats south of the airport, which you ideally need a boat to get to, however, you will have planes taking off overhead every few minutes, and we also had airforce jets. It wasn’t in anyway tranquil or remote. A bit like catching bonefish in the middle of the city. If that’s what you want, then, go for it, but , on reflection, I’d rather save the money for a more remote trip.

WarnesyParticipantI did the same with nervous waters many years ago now (over a decade). It was novel and if you are in Hawaii for family reasons then I’d spend a day doing it.

nick.bowlerParticipantYou will be in the US in prime salmon time. Have you considered a side trip to Alaska?

TwigmanParticipantHi Nick,
Budgetary constraints unfortunately render the Alaska option out of reach😳……..would be nice though.
Warnesy, will discuss Hawaii bonefish at the gathering👍
Thanks for everyone’s repliesAdam
