I’m planning on heading up to Eucumbene for a fish this weekend.  Not really interested in fishing the spawn run, but was hoping to have a flick around the lake edges, particularly Frying Pan.  Is it still worth it, or are all the fish fighting their way up the Euc River to spawn?  Hoping there’s some big browns left behind in the lake that are keen and catchable

    Thanks in advance

You will always get a pretty high number of fish that either do not run at all, or maybe run later.  In my experience the typical Eucumbene rainbow of about one and half pounds is still a regular catch around the lake at this time of year.

Edges of Eucumbene are fishing particularly well at the moment for browns.
