Saw a few big browns in a large slow drift near Bright.  It was a big slow bit of water about 30 metres long, 10 metres wide, 1 to 2 metres deep and extremely slow flow.

I found it quite hard to target them.  Tried swinging nymphs past them, tried a worm pattern but no luck.  Anything else?

A woolly bugger could of worked I guess.

    Any suggestions?

I’ve always found browns territorial so to find a couple/few would lead me to think they’re not interested in eating.

I’d slap a big hopper down. upstream, of course.

    Hi mitch aka 2 fish,

Probably right, the biggest brown was mostly interested in chasing the smaller browns around.
