Gday guys,
just wondering if there’s anyone in Sydney who can do a gentle restoration on a bamboo fly rod.
just starting to have a few threads loosen up on a couple of trims and guide wraps. Don’t really want to do a full restoration as I would like to maintain the patina of the rod.
its a Granger 9050, so it’s worth looking after.
if no one in Sydney I would appreciate any recommendations on who I should send it to

James Jones in Tasmania has a bamboo repair/recycle service as part of his rodmaking . There may be some Sydney makers who are happy to do repairs , you’d probably have to ask around clubs there .
