Fishing & Guiding
We only guide on the Ahuriri River. Maximum of three. Early season nymphs, the awesome mid season Cicadas to late season dry flies, this river is fished extensively by ourselves and we know where the fish can be found during the seasonal months.
We fish the lagoons, the main Ahuriri River and some subtle spring creeks … big browns, Rainbows and also Sockeye Salmon (when they are on the move).
Please enquire about daily rates and packages with the first night in the Homestead being catered.

Accommodation & Dining
The Homestead has been set up for self catering. Guest only need bring food and drink as almost everything else is provided. Accommodation is provided in the main Homestead which has been completely updated but still has the old charm of the original Station Homestead. Bookings are for a min of 2 nights. Rates are per night for the whole Homestead which can sleep up to 8 Guests in four separate bedrooms. There are magnificent views out over the valley to the distant glint of the famous Ahuriri River ….the comfortable lounge has a huge log burner and comfy seats to chill out after your days activities …. and then through the French doors is the huge dining room with magnificent 10 seater Rimu Slab table.
Kitchen and coffee bar – double stoves, dishwasher, fridge freezers and all the other appliances you would expect from a modern kitchen. We supply all the basics.
‘The Shed’ …. sun-room with more comfy chairs and flat screen TV and Freeview. We also have Farmside broadband.
There are two separate bathrooms each containing toilet, basin and walk-in showers – hot water is via a gas califont so you never run out. The main bedroom has an additional en-suite with its own Toilet and basin.
Sleeping Arrangements
Main Bedroom – Queen bed with an en-suite.
Inside Bedroom – King bed that can be configured for two king singles.
Outside Bedroom front – Views of the valley and ‘Mount Doom’. two single beds.
Outside Bedroom back – More private and views to ‘the Dell’. King bed that can be configured for two singles.
All Linen and towels are supplied. We also supply soap, toilet paper and washing machine powder.

Activities
For both the Fly Fisher and non-angler there so many other things to do. Relax, explore, enjoy. Read a book from our library… maybe just a snooze in the sun. Within an hour’s drive you have Hot pools, Mount Cook, Salmon farms, Gliding… way too many to list….
