Orvis introduces the Ratio fly reel with a sealed carbon and stainless steel drag
The new Orvis Ratio fly reel has been developed for anglers targeting powerful fish in demanding environments, combining a lightweight, fully machined design with a sealed carbon and stainless steel disc drag.
The fully sealed drag system delivers up to 16lb of smooth, consistent drag pressure, while an oversized drag knob allows quick, precise adjustments during a fight. A corrosion-resistant Type II anodised aluminium construction and sealed drag make the Ratio well suited to saltwater use, with design features focused on balancing strength, durability and weight.
Other thoughtful details include a captive spool cap that can’t be misplaced during line changes, a comfortable concave handle, and tool-free conversion between left- and right-hand retrieve. Available in five sizes covering everything from steelhead through to marlin and tuna, the Ratio is offered in Silver/Deep Sea, Blackout and Gold finishes.
